Enrique S. Rivera (June 12, 1983-) is an award-winning historian, journalist, and television producer. He earned his Ph.D. in Latin American History from UCLA in 2019, and is the author of the best-selling The Untold History of Capitalism: Primitive Accumulation and the Anti-Slavery Revolution, as well as its Spanish-language translation, which has been published in the United States and Venezuela. From 2019-2022, Rivera produced the television programs The News with Rick Sanchez, Dennis Miller Plus One, and I Don’t Understand with William Shatner, all for RT America. He is currently a producer for NPR’s All Things Considered. Born and raised in Washington, D.C., he is the son of Puerto Rican and Salvadoran immigrants and activists.
